A part of the complex to the east held a imaret (soup kitchen) and has been turned into a museum, showing such an establishment. In that museum, which is Turkey's first imaret museum, visitors and citizens are served lokma and meals prepared with food purchased with the support of philanthropists. In the museum, the soup kitchen concept and services of the period are revived and there are kitchen utensils, wax statues reflecting the people working in the soup kitchen and a digital table where photographs can be viewed.
