DescriptionBhadrakhali temple.jpg	BHADRAKHALI TEMPLE: Bhadrakhali temple is situated on the top of a hillock between Warangal and Hanmakonda. History: According to the historical records Chalukya king Pulakesin 2 of vengi kingdom constructed the temple in about A.D 625 after achieving the victory over the vengi kings kakati rudradeva shifted his capital from Hanmakonda to Warangal and moulded the boulder and gave complete form to the goddess.He constructed the temple in about A.D 1175.Rudradevas son Ganapathideva improved the temple glorifying the power of deity.It is stated that a man named Meesaraganda,the son of Vittalamatya,supposed to be the subordinate of Ganapathideva dedicated some land and constructed a tank,the devotion towards this goddess reached its zenith during the period of Rani Rudrama devi who endowed lands lavishly towards the unkeep of the temple after her victory over the yadava kings. After the death of Prathaparudra-ll,the glory of the kakati has declined rapidly,the deity strangely enough escaped the religious malice of the Muslims.This temple has a big Mantapa and Garbhagriha,the important attraction of the temple is the stone image of the deity Bhadrakali in human form in sitting posture wearing a crown with right hand holding weapons sword,trisula,hunan head,damaru etc . The other idols in the temple are of lord Umamahesvara and Hanuman.
