Description
Deutsch: Bhf. Langenburg, Stationsgebäude von Südost, 1984. Der letzte planm. Personenzug war bereits am 26. Mai 1963 abgefahren. Am 24. Mai 1965 besuchte Königin Elisabeth II. mit ihrem Mann Prinz Philip, Duke of Edinburgh das verwandte Langenburger Adelshaus Hohenlohe-Langenburg. Kurz vor 23 Uhr, am 24.05.1965 bestieg die britische Queen Elizabeth II den Salonwagen "10214 Köl Salon4üge" des aus Schwäbisch-Hall über Crailsheim angefahrenen Sonderzuges. Dieser fuhr, gezogen von 2 werksneuen V100 Diesellokomotiven in einer Nachtfahrt nach Blaufelden, und weiter über Bad Mergentheim und Lauda zum Lokwechsel bis Würzburg. Endziel war Frankfurt (M)-Sportfeld zwecks Zugübernachtung des britischen Königspaares in der Nacht vom 24. zum 25. Mai 1965.

Markante Details am Stationsgebäude:

  1. Der Telefonkasten (F-Kasten) der Streckenfernsprechleitung. -
  2. Die an der Westseite des Stationsgebäudes "stadtwärts" angebrachte dritte Namenstafel Langenburg. -
  3. Der massive Dachmast für Stromfreileitungen. Erdkabel für die Stromversorgung waren bis 1984 noch nicht in jedem Abschnitt verlegt.
