English: There is a temple of Bhimsen near Hanumandhoka in Kathmandu, i.e. on the way to the charity school. Bhairav's aggressive name is also Bhimsen. This temple was first worshiped by merchants and enlightened people. In the past, Nepali traders used to travel to Tibet for trade. Because of the fear of walking, the merchants used to carry a statue of Bhimsen so that there would be no fear. There are various temples in the premises of this temple and there is also a stone fountain near the temple where the locals still carry water for washing, bathing and drinking. The name of this temple is Bhimsen Toll and it is also called Paropkar Marg. There is a statue of a young man who was martyred in 2046 BS at some distance from the temple.
