Čeština: Celostránkový dřevoryt z knihy Genesis Bible svatováclavské vydané roku 1715 zobrazující 6 dnů stvoření. Byl převzat z asi o 150 let staršího vydání Melantrichovy bible. Kompozici rytiny tvoří šest medailonů (označených čísly I-VI), řazených po dvou nad sebe, které ilustrují jednotlivé dny stvoření. V prvním medailonu se v oblaku nad pevninou vznáší Bůh, tvořící nebe a zemi, v druhém tvoří uprostřed vod nebeskou klenbu, v třetím oživuje zemi rostlinstvem, ve čtvrtém tvoří světla nebeská, v pátém živočichy a v posledním Evu ze žebra spícího Adama. Těchto šest výjevů je sevřeno v celostránkovém poli, cvikly a průsečíky mezi medailony jsou vyplněny akantovým a jiným listovím. English: Creation of the world in 6 days - engraving from the St. Wenceslaus Bible printed in 1715 but the picture itself originated in the late 16th century and was already used in the Melantrich Bible. Deutsch: Der Holzstich der Schöpfung der Welt in 6 Tagen aus dem Buch Genesis der St.-Wenzels-Bibel aus dem Jahr 1715. Der Stich wurde aus der Melantrichs-Bibel aus dem zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts übernommen. |
