English: Bicolor Persian Violet photograph at Shiravli Sindhudurg forest Konkan Maharashtra. Bicolor Persian Violet (Exacum tetragonum) is a species of plant in the Gentianaceae-gentian family. Commonly called 'Udi chirayat', Local names includes (Waghnakshi) in Konkan northan western ghats. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist grassy forests, and blooms in late monsoon. The plant likely is pollinated mainly by butterflies and other insects.
