Description
English: Big John Craske and James 'Squinter' West. Murals, plaques and sculptures can be seen along the recently opened Art and Sculpture Trail. This plaque was created by Mitchell House. It is affixed to the sea wall on the West Promenade and titled "Fishermen in their Ganseys" and shows Big John Craske (left) and James "Squinter" West. A gansey, a jumper knitted with a specific pattern, used to be a fisherman's most distinctive feature. For a wider view see > 1093789.
