English: Big trees, Emscote, Warwick. A group of Giant Redwoods/Wellingtonias at Emscote Lawn towers above Waterloo Court 1211785 1205198.
They were planted in the 19th century. The Victorians had a craze for these exotic evergreens. This front garden in Charles Street is nurturing the giant trees of the 22nd century - a golden form of Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa) - until they get "too big". |
