Description Thursday, July 18, 2013 -- Governor Dannel P. Malloy joined state officials and lawmakers for a bill signing ceremony in Hartford to celebrate passage of a new law (Public Act 13-63) that increases the number of U.S. veterans who qualify for job creation incentives under the state's Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up). The Step Up program was created in 2011 and offers several incentives to employers who hire unemployed job seekers, with specific incentives targeted to those who hire veterans.
