Description
Deutsch: (Original text: Diese Klippe an der Südküste Mykines' ist vielleicht 300 Meter hoch. Auf dem Bild sind bei genauerem Hinsehen Hunderte von de:Papageitauchern zu erkennen. Da sie immer im "Obergeschoss" einer Klippe nisten, ist das also der obere Teil des Felsens. Sehr schön sind hier die rötlichbraunen de:Tuffschichten zu erkennen, die sich als schmale Bänder mit dem härteren de:Basalt abwechseln, der hier in der Abendsonne etwas sandfarben schimmert. Die weißen Flächen am Fels sind nichts anderes als de:Guano - Vogelmist, welcher der Insel den Namen gab.)
