Description
English: Bishop's Manor, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The Great Hall and porch, all that remains of a much larger house built by the Bishops of Durham 1388-1405, including earlier work by Bishop Skirlaugh, whose arms are sculpted over the main door, on the battlements. Better view see[1] The Bishops lodged here en-route to London and Prince John stayed here for Christmas in 1191.
