Description
English: Bishop Wood, Wistow Low autumn sun on the track between Old Close and New Close in Bishop Wood, west of Selby. The western half of Bishop Wood is in Cawood parish and the eastern half in Wistow. The Forestry Commission is gradually returning this 'planted ancient woodland site' to native woodland, which means replacing the pines, poplars and sycamores with native trees such as oak and alder.
