Description
English: Monument with a portrait bust of Johan Christian Heuch, a Norwegian theologian and Lutheran bishop of the Christiansand Diocese from 1889 to 1904, outside Kristiansand Cathedral in the city of Kristiansand, Norway. The sculpture was created by Norwegian sculptor Carl Ludvig Jacobsen (1835–1923). The pedestal bears the inscription "Bishop J. C. Heuch; 1838–1904; For me, life is Christ."
Norsk bokmål: Monument med portrettbyste i bronse av Johan Christian Heuch utenfor Kristiansand domkirke. Skulpturen er lagd av Carl Ludvig Jacobsen (Karl Ludvig Jacobsen, 1835–1923). Sokkelen er en steinsøyle eller -blokk med inskripsjonen «Biskop J. C. Heuch 1838–1904 For mig er livet Kristus». Heuch (uttales Høeg) var norsk teolog og biskop i Christiansand stift 1889–1904. Skulpturen er en avstøpning av den som står på Vestre Aker kirkegård i Oslo og ble reist i Domkirkeparken (mellom kirken og biblioteket) omkring 1930.
