| Description |
English: Built in 1870, this Italianate-style building is known as the Bissell Building. The building features a painted brick exterior, a parapet with brick corbeling enclosing a low-slope roof, arched window bays on the second story that are partially infilled with decorative brick hoods, stone sills, two cast iron brackets that are remnants of an old iron balcony that once hung over the sidewalk on the front facade, a recessed corner entrance with a doric column, a modified first floor clad in brick with a plate glass front window, and a stone base. The building is a contributing structure in the Columbus Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. |
