| Description |
English: Towing Contract: NCDOT hired two local towing companies to help motorists on I-40, Business 40, Silas Creek Parkway, Peters Creek Parkway and U.S. 52. The contracts stipulated that the wreckers had no more than 20 minutes to respond to a call. For the first three months of the contract, the tow trucks responded in an average of 13 minutes 57 seconds, often before law enforcement arrived. NCDOT has received requests from other cities about this initiative. |
