Summary

edit
Description This is the view of Black Mesa (center) from the White Rock Overlook in White Rock, New Mexico. When the Pueblo Indians revolted in 1680, they threw the Spanish out of northern New Mexico. The Spanish returned in 1692, and the final Indian holdouts kept the Spanish at bay until 1694 from the top of Black Mesa. Black Mesa is now on the land of the Santa Clara pueblo, and the Indians - as do nearly all the tribes in New Mexico - have a casino. Santa Clara also has a top golf course known as the Black Mesa Golf Course.
