Description 1st June 1987 saw the first of Blackburn Transport's minibuses enter service, the first routes were some converted double decker routes in the North of the town, and two entirely new routes M1 & M2 which ran to Mill Hill an area to the south west of the town centre, these new routes utilised the size of the MetroRiders to allow them to travel via Hollins bridge, this narrow hump backed bridge between Bolton Road and Mill Hill
