eight of these Leyland leopards came from Rennies of dunfermline in 1988, having gone there from Southdown most arrived still in Southdown livery, but this one arried this livery which I always assumed had been applied by Rennies this has now been confirmed by this picture <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/35114850@N08/3928067543/">www.flickr.com/photos/35114850@N08/3928067543/</a> these coaches arrived in Blackburn in exchange for Atlanteans from the JFR N batch. These vehicles, aswell as being used as \coaclines vehicles, were used on the 701/702/X1/X2 Manchester Services, and on the frequent and busy corridor between Darwen and Blackburn/Wilpshire, the number 6 was extended at the Wilpshire end to operate to whalley and Clitheroe, in competition with Ribble's 225 service. |
