| Description | Around the turn of the century, Blackburn Transport found themselves with an increasingly elderly fleet of Leyland Atlanteans, and were winning Tenders for school services in all ares of Lancashire, it became obvious both replacement and additional double deckers would be needed. Second hand double deckers entered the fleet from a number of sources including a large number of Leyland Olympians from the Lothian Fleet. After initially entering service in Nov 2001 carrrying Lothian's Madder and White livery 38 was soon repainted into full fleet livery and is seen on Penny Street. This vehicle has now entered its 11th year of service in Blackburn, and is approaching her 28th birthday. |
