Français : « La commune relève, depuis la fin des années 1990, les armes de Louis du Quesnoy, écuyer et seigneur d'Escœuilles en 1665, colonel d'infanterie des troupes boulonnaises. La commune du Quesnoy-en-Artois (62) relève aussi les armes de cette famille , qui en est originaire, mais l'aigle n'y est pas bicéphale. (J. Dulphy) »
