Description
English: This image is the representation of a synthetic embryo, termed blastoid, which was made with plastic bricks. Blastoids are living synthetic embryos formed in a dish, via the self-organisation of embryonic and trophoblast stem cells. A full description of the blastoid is published in a manuscript published in the journal Nature (DOI: 10.1038/s41586-018-0051-0).
