Summary

edit
Description The site of Bledsoe's Station in Sumner County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. Bledsoe's Station was a frontier fort built in the early 1780s to protect settlers from Native American attacks. Archaeological excavations in the late 1990s verified the fort's location. The fort is no longer standing, but excavation trench lines give visitors an idea of the fort's layout.
