English: The famous and infamous blind.gif, a transparent square, maybe the most frequently used image in the early days of the web before 2000. It was used, to give an area on a website a certain size, mostly in table layouts. Due to the advanced possibilities of CSS, it is no longer widely used.
Deutsch: Das berühmte und berüchtigte blind.gif, ein transparentes Quadrat, vielleicht das am meisten benützte Bild in den frühen Tagen des Webs vor 2000. Es wurde verwendet, um auf Webseiten einer Fläche eine bestimmte Größe zu geben, vor allem in Tabellenlayouts. Durch die inzwischen fortgeschrittenen Möglichkeiten von CSS findet es kaum noch Verwendung. |
