Description donnée par A. Blouet : «Les fragments dont il se compose sont un couronnement en marbre trouvé à Epidaure; des cariatides (sic) romaines de Loucos près d'Astros; une Minerve et un Hercule; des métopes découvertes par nous au temple de Jupiter Olympien, à Olympie; un sphinx ébauché venant de Délos; un chapiteau composite trouvé à Coron; des petits vases cinéraires trouvés dans les tombeaux d'Egine; divers fragments d'architecture et une inscription sur laquelle sont indiquées les principales villes explorées dans le Voyage.
Dans le fond à gauche est l'Acrocorinthe, à droite l'Acropole d'Athènes.
Les figures sont un militaire français montrant à un Grec une frégate française qui débarque les troupes par lesquelles la liberté et la paix sont rendues à la Grèce. Près du Français, est un Turc rendant ses armes.»
