Summary edit

Description
English: Blush Williamsville (left) and the Egea Weight Loss Center, 5428-5430 Main Street, Williamsville, New York. Designated landmarks of the Village of Williamsville since 2014, these two buildings were the domain of Alsatian-born cobbler Joseph Seitz (1810-1878), who lived in the brick house to the right and operated his shoe and boot store out of the wood-frame building to the left. The house is a good and relatively intact example of the type of vernacular Greek Revival architecture popular in the 1840s and '50s, with its stone lintels and windowsills adorning the façade (strictly rectangular on the upper story; larger and pointed at the top down below) and original brick chimney, while the shop is of newer vintage (1870s) and representative of the Italianate style, with a projecting belt course extending horizontally between the first and second floors and decorative fluted pilasters below separating what were once floor-to-ceiling shop windows.
