Description
English: Boath School Now a dwelling, but formerly a school. Unseasonably snowy weather for late March. William J.Watson, subsequently Rector of the Royal Academy,Inverness, then of the Royal High School, Edinburgh, and ultimately (1914-1938) Professor of Celtic at Edinburgh University, received his early education at Boath from his uncle James Watson, schoolmaster there, and also at James Watson's previous school at Strathconon. William J.Watson's publications include "Place Names of Ross and Cromarty". James Watson's memorial stone, referring to his time at Boath school, is at Kilmuir Easter.
