Summary edit

Description
English: Former Face the Nation television anchor and veteran journalist Bob Schieffer discussed his storied career with Joseph Califano, Jr., domestic policy advisor to President Johnson, on Thursday evening, Jan. 21, 2016, at the LBJ Presidential Library auditorium.

Schieffer retired in May 2015, in his 58th year as a reporter and his 46th year at CBS News. He is one of the few broadcast or print journalists to have covered all four major beats in the nation's capital – the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and Capitol Hill. He won eight Emmys and numerous other journalism awards.

Califano is founder and chairman of the board of The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University and serves as a trustee of the LBJ Foundation.
