English: Body painting, or sometimes bodypainting, is a form of body art. Unlike tattoo and other forms of body art, body painting is temporary, painted onto the human skin, and can last several hours or many weeks (in the case of mehndi or "henna tattoos") about two weeks. Body painting that is limited to the face is known as face painting. Body painting is also referred to as (a form of) "temporary tattoo"; large scale or full-body painting is more commonly referred to as body painting, while smaller or more detailed work can sometimes be referred to as temporary tattoos.

Català: La pintura de cos, o (bodypainting, en anglès), és una forma d'art de cos. La pintura s'aplica directament sobre la pell i generalment dura diverses hores (no com en el cas dels tatuatges o com a màxim en el cas de mehndi o tatuatge de henna, que pot durar aproximadament dues setmanes), per això se'l considera art efímer. La pintura específica per a la cara es coneix també com a pintura facial. La pintura de cos també es refereix a una forma de tatuatge provisional.
Deutsch: Körperbemalung (englisch body painting [ˈbɒdiˌpeɪntɪŋ]) ist eine Form von Körpergestaltung. Dabei wird Farbe direkt auf die Haut aufgetragen. Die Körperbemalung hält sich ein paar Stunden bis zu mehreren Wochen (bei Henna-Tattoos), ist jedoch im Gegensatz zum Tattoo nicht permanent.

À l'aube de l'humanité, les humains découvrent la terre colorée, le charbon de bois, la craie, le jus des baies colorées, le sang des animaux et bien d'autres couleurs qui servent peut-être à impressionner l'ennemi, sous forme de peinture de guerre, ou de signe reconnaissance à l'intérieur d'une tribu.
