This 247-D, which served with United Air Lines, also flew as a contestant in the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race from London to Melbourne, Australia, coming in third place. The visible side shows its United Air Lines paint scheme commemorating its race performance; the far side bears the paint scheme it wore during the race itself.
