I post this image In memoriam of all the fireman, doctors and nurses who were working rescuing people at Ground Zero when I managed to get there passing through the Chinese Quarter. When I did it I swore myself I wouldn’t film any dead body or anything that could go against an ethic of Life. I rather filmed people as this boy here. In his eyes there’s all the determination of those heroes working to save lives. Later on I wrote on the short film I made, that there was not enough dust to cloud our love for freedom and that I was proud to be an American. All of us forgot our national origins on 9/11. We were all just New Yorkers on 9/11. I post this image with all due respect to these real-life heroes. God Bless the entire American and Mexican workers who died innocently on that dreadful day.
