Deutsch: Romanische Säule mit Abguss einer Löwenskulptur, am Sockel befindet sich eine Bronzetafel mit Stadtwappen:

Der Bonner Löwe / Die Skulptur auf der romanischen Säule ist das alte / landesherrliche Gerichtssymbol der Erzbischöfe und / Kurfürsten von Köln und stellt einen Löwen dar, der / wahrscheinlich einen Eber schlägt. Vermutlich handelt / es sich um eine römische Arbeit, die in romanischer Zeit / grob überarbeitet sein dürfte. (Wappen) Als Wappentier hat der Löwe seine Bedeutung für Bonn / bis heute bewahrt. Im Volksmund wird er auch als / "steinernes Wölfchen" bezeichnet. Das Original des Bonner Löwen / befindet sich im Alten Rathaus am Markt. / Der Abguss ist ein Geschenk der Firma ISTA / an die Bürgerinnen und Bürger der Stadt Bonn / anlässlich der 2000-Jahr Feier 1989.

Auf dem Sockel eine umlaufende lateinische Inschrift: Monumentum antique Verone nunc opidi Bunnensis
