Accompanied by a manuscript letter from Thomas E. French to Ruthven Deane, dated Oct. 30, 1917, explaining the bookplate design. Letter cataloged separately (LC-DIG-ppmsca-15538-15540).
Print shows archaeological symbols, artifacts, and a skeleton.
Forms part of the Ruthven Deane Bookplate Collection.
