Summary edit
DescriptionBootleg Mine Shaft.JPG |
English: A bootleg mine shaft near Ashland, USA. – One man would get into the little cart you see. Two other men would crank him down into the shaft. The man in the shaft would fill up the cart with coal as fast as he could and yank on the rope when it was full. The two men at the top of the shaft would pull the cart up and work at breaking up the coal so it could be sold in town as heating fuel. |
