Summary edit

Description
English: Boracite
Locality: Boulby Mine, Loftus, North Yorkshire, England, UK (Locality at mindat.org)
A large and very rich specimen of English boracite, ex. Greenbank Collection. The crystals have a beautiful sea-foam green color and high sparkle. The top part of this specimen is solid boracite, smooth on top, with the fine crystals wrapped around the sides in recesses. The back side is richly crystallized as well. This significant English specimen was mined in 1994 and the specimen production from this remakrable find has since been near-nil. These will always be remembered as one of the great English finds of the 1990s! It has enormous trim potential....you could easily clip it in half through the middle and have two rich small cabs, with the crystals on top and more massive areas on the bottom, reoriented. It is much more sparkly and lustrous in person! 9.8 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm
