UNIQUE COPY, being actually bound in HUMAN SKIN.

In centre of front cover is a design of a skull, modelled in leather and with teeth of ivory, vellum doublures and fly leaves, gauffered and painted edges (preserved in a levant morocco case).

This extra-ordinary specimen of bookbinding forms a fitting cover to the book itself — The Dance of Death — being a series of coloured plates showing Death seizing all sorts and conditions of people.
