Summary edit

Description
English: Boundary Marker? These metal markers occur at intervals right along the north shore of Threipmuir Reservoir. This particular one is cracked. They bear the letters EWC and the date 1848, so I take them to be boundary markers erected by Edinburgh Water Company, which was founded in 1685 and taken over by Edinburgh Corporation in 1869. Thanks to Alan Longbottom for information about the EWC. I'll be pleased to hear from anyone with more information.
