Boundary detail on Niagara Falls International Rainbow Bridge

Summary

edit
Description
English: Here we are with our back squarely against the International Boundary Line plaque, at dawn. But why do we not see directly in front of us the street lamp (one half not lit!) that lies directly on the border, halfway in between the Canada and US flags? Why are we instead pointed halfway between the lamp and the US flag? Discussion.
