Summary edit

Description
English: Boundary stone, Halifax / Queensbury. This stone was probably erected when Queensbury UDC was formed in 1894. Queensbury was already an Urban Sanitary District, formed from parts of Clayton and Northowram, but it was in 1894 that parts of Northowram were taken into Halifax County Borough. It is curious that Queensbury's name is carved in full, whilst Halifax is abbreviated to what are now the postcode letters.
