English: Boundary stone, Scammonden This is one of a row of stones on the boundary between Scammonden and Marsden. They have no inscription, but have a tooled surface. They are shown on 19C maps, but not on maps published after Scammonden and Marsden both became part of Colne Valley UD. It seems strange that they should be removed from the map just because they were no longer on a local government boundary. |
