Description The bow of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CVA-15) crashing into heavy seas. Note the McDonnell F2H-3 Banshee of Fighter Squadron 141 (VF-141) "Iron Angels" on the bow (with an open cockpit!). VF-141 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the Randolph for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 3 February to 6 August 1954.
