Description
English: Bowling Green The name of this section of the field according to the 1842 tithe map that has been enlarged to include another, Twelve Acres, to the east of it. The name I presume comes from it being flat and true. The hedge on the right marks the course of Highbridge Lane whilst the house in the distance is also called Bowling Green.
