Summary edit
DescriptionBoy in Zamfara State.jpg |
English: Nomadic communities in Nigeria have been identified as containing the highest number of zero dose children. The nomads project, as part of Nigeria's polio eradication effort, posted Nigeria FETP residents to train indigenous data collectors and guides for a supervised enumeration exercise. Three hours from the nearest town a boy was found alone while his parents and older siblings were out grazing cattle. His response to being alone was "I matter" -- that's why you were sent to find me at home in the forest.” August 20, 2012 Kanoma ward, maru Local Government Area, Zamfara state, Nigeria.
