Summary edit

Description
English: Bramley Motors The site of the old foundry. Earliest records for this site go back to 1666 with Joseph Chitty yeoman and blacksmith owning the place. The foundry was owned by the Smith family in Victorian times. Charles Smith bought the foundry in 1847. His son Richard and later Richard's son Nimrod worked here as iron founders. The Smith family leased foundry in 1935 to Percy George Witney. In the 1960s it became Cotton’s Service Station. Now it is Bramley Motors.
