Summary
editDescriptionBrandungskliff Steigerberg (2 von 14).jpg |
English: Part of fossil sea cliff at Steigerberg hill (Permian volcanic rocks (Kreuznach Rhyolite) with Lower Oligocene (30 mya) coastal erosion features): The image shows some kind of channel. This may be the remnant of a cave formed by wave action with its "sealing" eroded during a later stage of the cliffed coast (subsequent to sea level rise). Mainz Basin, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany[1]
Mainzer Becken, Rheinland-Pfalz[1] |
