Português: Brasão da freguesia do Porto Moniz, na Ilha da Madeira. Descrição heráldica: O Campo azul do escudo ostenta as armas do capitão de Machico, Tristão Vaz, uma fénix de prata, e as dos Monizes na circunstância, apenas três estrelas de oito pontas de ouro. Trata-se de perpetuar a memória de quem ordenou o povoamento daquelas terras Tristão Vaz e de quem o concretizou Francisco Moniz fornecendo, de resto, o seu próprio nome. [1] |
