Português: A cartela representa não as armas de do primitivo dono da casa, João Duarte de Faria (as deste senhor encontram-se arrumadas sobre os muros da traseira do Palácio) mas sim as do Visconde de São Lázaro, título com que foi agraciado Miguel José Raio, pelo rei Dom Luís, em carta de armas de 12 de Abril de 1872.
A leitura deste brasão é a seguinte: Material: mármore Época: o Visconde de São Lázaro teve carta de armas em 12 de Abril de 1872 e faleceu a 14 de Agosto de 1875. LIÇÃO HERÁDILCA: Classificação: heráldica de família. Conjunto: - Escudo inglês. - Coronel de nobreza. - Timbre. - Folhas de acanto ladeando o escudo. - Fitas pendentes do escudo e das folhas de acanto, com a insígnia de Cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo, do Brasil, e as comendas da Ordem de Cristo e de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Viçosa.
