Português: NBR NOTÍCIAS - 18.06.13: O Brasil vai produzir 14 novos medicamentos biológicos de alto custo que vão ajudar no tratamento de câncer, artrite, diabetes, além de um cicatrizante, um hormônio de crescimento e uma vacina contra alergia por ácaros. Além de reduzir a dependência da indústria farmacêutica internacional, a produção nacional vai economizar, por ano, cerca de R$ 225 milhões para o país. Com essa economia, o Brasil deve reverter o saldo negativo da balança comercial. O Ministério da Saúde anunciou um investimento de R$170 milhões para a produção de medicamentos biológicos a partir de células vegetais como as da cenoura e do tabaco. Esses medicamentos vão ser produzidos num laboratório da FIOCRUZ, que deve começar a funcionar em Eusébio, no Ceará, em 2016.
