Description
English: Reverse side of a Brazilian 500 cruzeiros banknote issued from 1981-1985. In 1984, the signature of the President of the Central Bank of Brazil was changed from Carlos Geraldo Langoni (1980-1983) to Affonso Celso Pastore (1983-1985), whose signature appears on this image. Excepting the signatures and their captions as well as the font of the "A" in the serial number, the image is an ambigram, like the 100, 200, 1000, and 5000 cruzeiro banknotes of the same series (1981-1985). (Note: The banknote that was scanned to create this image was not cut in alignment with the printed image. The scanned image was aligned so that the edges of the black border designs on the top and bottom are perfectly horizontal, then cropped to obtain the biggest possible image. The borders (space between the black print and edge of the note) of the actual note are a little wider.)

Public domain The image above depicts a unit of currency issued by the Central Bank of Brazil. According to the Industrial Property Law (Law 9.279 of May 14, 1996), Chapter II Section 124, brazilian money belongs to the Union, and all the works subsidized by the Union are not their domain (Law 9.610 of February 16 2008, Title I Article 6). However, reproductions that might mislead or confuse and the fraudulent usage is punishable by law (Law 9.279 Chap. IV Art. 191.).

Terms of use (according to the VRT ticket):

1. All images must contain the expression "SEM VALOR" placed on the picture diagonally, with length and height of at least 20% of image size.
2. The maximum resolution allowed is 72dpi (72 pixels per inch or 28.246 pixels per cm). This restriction also applies to individual elements of the banknote.
