English: Breached weir, Barrett's Mill The weir was breached when a tree ran into it during a flood, my memories are dodgy, but I think I was told it was in the 19th Century, but could have been the 1920s. The weir is brick faced. The foreground silt is deposited by an eddy that forms downstream of the old weir. |
