English: Bridge over the Dawston Burn The bank on the right once supported the Dawstonburn Viaduct which carried the Border Counties Railway over the burn. The railway ran from Hexham up the North Tyne valley and linked with the Waverley Line at Riccarton Junction. The railway operated between the years 1851 and 1958. |
